FOHG participates by invitation, in the transfer of diverse medical, nursing and health-related skills, and the development of collaborative projects which benefit the most needy in the community. FOHG has an ongoing commitment to sustainable health programmes through education.
FOHG is a supportive partner in collaborative health projects by invitation from local authorities.
FOHG facilitates in the transfer of medical, nursing and allied health knowledge and skills and assists with the development and implementation of activities with greatest priority as determined by our partners. FOHG has an ongoing commitment to sustainable health programs and supports a wide variety of initiatives and activities including:
- Helping Indonesian medical, nursing and allied health staff visit hospitals in Adelaide for training and experience.
- Delivery of maternal and neonatal courses in country to remote and rural regions of West Timor.
- Education and training of local health hospital staff in areas of: Accident and emergency/Oncology/Dermatology/Infectious diseases/Paediatrics/clinical pathology, histopathology and microbiology/obstetrics and pharmacy.
There are also opportunities for expanding projects with our local partners to include anaesthetics, general and surgical specialities.
